Immunogen: native purified b-phycoerythrin of Porphyridium cruentum (protein with attached phycobilisomes)
Host: Rabbit Clonality: Polyclonal Purity: Serum Format: Lyophilized Quantity: 200 µl Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 200 µl of sterile water Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube. Tested applications: ELISA (ELISA), Western blot (WB) Recommended dilution: 1 : 2000 (ELISA), 1 : 1000 - 5000 (WB) Expected | apparent MW: 17-21 kDa

Background: In phycobilisomes, the light-harvesting antennae of red algae, b-phycoerythrin consists of alpha and beta chains that contain phycoerythrobilin chromophores (an open-chain tetrapyrolle, red colored). It is found in chloroplasts of many red algae, and is closely related to the PEs of cyanobacteria and cryptomonads.
