Immunogen: Synthetic HDEL peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of yeast Bip protein
Sub class: IgG2B Host: Mouse Clonality: Monoclonal Purity: Total IgG. Protein G purified in PBS pH 7.4. Format: Liquid Quantity: 100 µg Storage: Store at -20°C for 1 year; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube. Tested applications: Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunogold (IG), Western blot (WB) Recommended dilution: 1: 50-1 : 500 (IF), 1 : 100-1, 1000 (WB) Expected | apparent MW: 78 kDa
- Reactivity
-
Confirmed reactivity: Barnyard Grass (E. crus-galli), Beta vulgaris, Drosophila melanogaster, Gossypium hirsutum, Hordeum vulgare, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Sorghum sp., Vigna radiata Predicted reactivity: Higher plants Not reactive in: No confirmed exceptions from predicted reactivity are currently known - Additional Information
-
Additional information: Protein G purified IgG2B in PBS, pH 7,4 with 0,09 % sodium azide and 50 % glycerol at concentration 1 mg/ml Additional information (application): Antibody in concentration 1 µg/ml was sufficient for detection of HDEL-containing proteins in 10 µg of yeast cell lysate by colorimetric western blot. Clone 2E7.
For western blot results, immunofluorescence and immunogold images please referr to Napier et al. 1992. - Background
-
Background: HDEL (his-asp-glu-leu) is a C-terminal tertapeptide found in yeast and plants which allows sorting of resident soluble proteins in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum.
